Description |

The hotel is built on a plot of land that is 300m by 180m, with this latter side facing the dunes. The Erg Chebbi dune field is just 200 metres away.
The building is conceived as a two-floor Kasbah with four towers. The materials used include all the safety of a modern building while, at the same time, using the wisdom of traditional materials which create a comfortable, welcoming ambiance. All the decoration is based on local crafts: rugs, ceramics, lamps, wrought iron, traditional tiling, wood and earthenware.

Kanz Erremal is located right in the desert itself, immersed in the fascinating landscape of the dunes of Erg Chebbi, close to Merzouga in the south-east of Morocco, in the Tafilalt region, where one can find the largest palm field in the country. We are 30 km south of the city of Rissani; 50 km from Erfud and 130 km from Er-Rachidia, the capital of the province. The Erg Chebbi dunes are unique in Morocco, spreading from north to south for over 40 km and, east to west, around 25 km. The dunes reach a height of 200 metres. In this extraordinary environment, the traveller will discover the silhouette of Kanz Erremal, which is outlined, on the one hand, on the black rock background of the desert known as “Hamada” and, on the other hand, against the great sand dunes.
From Marrakech and for those travelling by bus, you must take a bus from the Guerliz station and travel to the deep south and descend in the City of Erchadia. From here you must take a taxi to Merzouga for the Riad Kanz Erremal and the cost is of about 30,00€. The total distance from Marrakech is of about 500km. |
